Noninvasive Brain Neuromodulation Based on Low-Intensity Focused Ultrasound Stimulation
YI Yuan, MA Zhi-tao, WANG Li-fang, LI Xiao-li
Low-intensity focused ultrasound stimulation (FUS), which possesses high spatial resolution and penetration depth, has been developing rapidly for noninvasive brain neuromodulation in recent years. In this letter, a low-intensity FUS system was developed for noninvasive brain neuromodulation in vivo. The radius of ultrasonic focal spot was quantitatively calculated in theory to evaluate the spatial resolution. The local field potential (LFP) of rat hippocompus were recorded before and after FUS. The effect of FUS on LFP power spectrum was investigated by computing the LFP mean absolute power and relative power with Welch algorithm. The experiment results show that noninvasive FUS can enhance LFP mean absolute power and alter the LFP relative power at different frequency bands. The results indicate that FUS can modulate brain rhythms and has significant potential in the modulation of neuronal and psychiatric diseases.

Study on Functional Connectivity Density in Patients with Frontal Lobe Tumor at Resting-State
YANG Yu-xuan, YAO Liu-ye, TAO Ling, QIAN Zhi-yu, XUE Li
At present, the neuropathological mechanisms and the plastic changes of brain cognitive function in patents with front lobe tumor remain unclear, most studies just focused on global measures of brain functional connectivity without considering the time correlation in the different regions of the brain. This study aims to investigate brain cognitive alterations and functional plasticity in patients with front lobe tumor at resting-state by conducting functional connectivity density (FCD) mapping and granger causality analysis (GCA). Firstly, FCD mapping was used to extract abnormal functional connectivity (FC) of patients with frontal lobe tumor, and analyzed altered brain FC in both short- and long-range FCD. Then, the voxel-wise GCA method was used to analyze the causal relationship between altered FC regions and other regions in order to detect the time correlation between regions of interest (ROI) and reveal the direction of information flow between brain ROIs. It was found that patients had increased short-range FCD in motor and space attention function areas, had increased short- and long-range FCDs both in Temporal and Insula, and the causal coefficients were changed obviously in Temporal and Frontal. The results show that there is a functional plasticity in space attention function areas. Temporal and Insula are affected by tumor in frontal lobe, and functional reorganization appears inside Temporal.

Comparison of Intramedullary Nailing versus Plating Fixation in the Treatment of Adult Diaphyseal Both-Bone Forearm
MIAO Jie-jia, LUO Yi, ZHOU Huo-long, ZHENG Fu-qi, CHEN Guo-tao, BAO Hang-sheng, LIU Yong-yu, ZHENG Yang-kang, LI Yi-qun
Objective: The purpose of this meta-analysis is to determine whether plating or intramedullary nailing (IMN) for adult diaphyseal both-bone forearm fractures (BBFF) provides better clinical outcomes. Methods: MEDLINE, EMBASE, Google Scholar and The Cochrane Library were comprehensively searched until July 31, 2016. Both retrospective study and prospective trails about comparison of dual IMN or hybrid fixation versus dual plating fixation in the treatment of adult diaphyseal BBFF were included. Using RevMan5.3 software, data of functional recovery, the union time, operating time and complication was extracted for meta-analysis. Results: The pooled analysis showed similar results in the union time, functional recovery and the rates of complications, but showed a significant difference in operating time. Conclusion: This meta-analysis demonstrates similar radiographic outcomes, functional outcomes and complications with plates or IMN used in the treatment of adult diaphyseal BBFF. IMN fixation for these fractures seems to be an alternative and effective treatment with shorter operating times and minimally invasive.

Finite Element Analysis on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Osteonecrosis of Femoral Head
HONG Guo-ju, HAN Xiao-rui, CHEN Lei-lei, HE Wei, FANG Bin, ZHOU Guang-quan
Developing the radiographic images from two to three-dimensional, finite element analysis (FEA) technology can set up the model, predicting diagnosis, treatment design, as well as surgical plan. FEA provides an accurate three-dimensional finite element biomechanical study in osteonecrosis of femoral head (ONFH). The papers in the latest 5 years related to femoral head osteonecrosis and finite element analysis application are concentrated on. We summarize the latest research progress and problems, including the applied research carried out in the femoral head osteonecrosis clinical cases, innovational skills, so as to point out the direction of future research in FEA.

Application Progress of Digital Occlusion Analysis in Occlusal Reconstruction
LI Hong-mei, GAO Ting
Occlusal disorder caused by severe worn dentition is one of the most common diseases in the occlusion. Occlusal reconstruction is an important repair method, referring to modify and rebuild the existing occlusion status, then to restore the occlusion. During occlusal reconstruction, the digital occlusion analysis system can accurately acquire the occlusion status, in order to guide the reconstruction occlusion accurately and restore the normal function of the oral maxillary system. This paper reviews the concept of occlusal reconstruction, sequence therapy, traditional occlusion analysis methods and the development status and prospect of digital occlusion analysis.
